Animated diagram templates
An animated diagram names the parts of a picture one at a time, so the viewer knows where to look at each moment. Reelitly has two templates for this. Both take an AI-generated image, label it, read each label aloud and reveal it as it is spoken, and export an HD MP4.
You pick the template at the first step of a project, before the image is generated, since it changes what kind of picture the AI draws.
Pointer Reveal
Pointer Reveal is for one picture with parts to name. As each label is read, its box appears and an arrow points from it to a spot on the image. Earlier labels stay on screen, so by the end the whole diagram is labelled.
Good for:
- Anatomy: the bones of the hand, the chambers of the heart
- Science diagrams: a plant cell, the water cycle, a volcano cross-section
- How things are built: the parts of a bicycle, an engine, a camera
You can drag each label and the point its arrow lands on, and switch the arrows off if you only want labels.
Grid Reveal
Grid Reveal is for a set of separate items. The AI draws them as a grid, the whole image sits blurred and dimmed in the background, and each item in turn is spotlit with a glowing border and its label.
Good for:
- Lists: "9 animals that live in the desert", "kitchen tools every cook needs"
- Comparisons: types of clouds, coffee drinks, rock types
- Quiz-style videos where the viewer guesses before each reveal
What both templates share
- Length: 15, 30 or 45 seconds, or 1 minute.
- Shape: 9:16 vertical, 16:9 horizontal or 1:1 square, exported as an HD MP4 at 1080x1920, 1920x1080 or 1080x1080.
- Image styles: Flat Vector, Modern Educational, Scientific Diagram or Hand-drawn Sketch.
- Labels you control: edit the text, add or delete labels, and reorder them. The narration reads labels in list order, so the order you set is the order they appear.
- Narration: pick a voice and play its sample first. Labels are timed to the voice automatically.

Questions
What is an animated diagram?
A diagram whose labels appear one at a time, usually with narration, so each part is explained before the next one appears.
Which template should I pick?
Pointer Reveal when you have one picture with parts to point at. Grid Reveal when you have several separate items to show in turn.
Can I switch templates later?
You can change it at Step 1, but generate a new image afterwards: each template asks the AI for a different kind of picture, and a new image costs 20 credits.
Do the templates cost extra?
No. Both templates are included. A new account gets 50 free credits, which covers the image, voiceover and render of a first video.
